Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre
For students completing Year 12 in 2020, completed music, speech and drama and Rockschool qualifications achieved through study at the AMEB are not included as inputs in the calculation of the Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR).
Institutions might be able to consider them as the basis for admission based on their own Institution specific schedules. Applicants interested in using Music and Performance qualifications for admission should contact their intended Institution directly to confirm if they will be accepted and to what level. For further information, please contact QTAC on 1300 467 822.
Queensland Certificate of Education
Certain AMEB subjects and levels have been recognised by the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) and may contribute towards a student’s Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE). The Year 12 (2020) and Year 11 (new QCE system) lists of study have been updated.
It is essential for students in Years 10, 11 and 12 to advise the AMEB (Qld) State Office of their Learning Unique Identifier (LUI) registration date and number, which is issued through their school. This will enable the AMEB to support the transmission of eligible results directly to the QCAA.
We strongly encourage students graduating Year 12 in the 2020 calendar year to complete their exam no later than 31 October 2020, to ensure their results are uploaded to QCAA on time. It is also imperative that your LUI registration date and number is supplied to the AMEB Qld State Office by 31 October 2020. For further information and the full list of subjects, please visit the QCAA website.
